I have been posting short parts of the teaching from our Marriage Is Honorable conference, for a deeper and personal experience attend one in your area. We are scheduled with two in Eastern Kentucky in February and one in central Ohio in March. If interested message me or contact us. These have been the start of our home mission, our homes are the vital core of revival in America. The next phase is to begin planting churches in the western half of the US. We have begun preparations for the establishment of a church south of Sioux Falls South Dakota, in the town of TEA. We have contacts in the area and have made two trips to establish our burden. The next few posts will be concerning this endeavor. We would welcome any questions or possibly a service to explain what, when and where.

(continued on marriage)One of the next directives in having a home the way God intended is raising children. Most of us, if God has permitted, have children enter our home after marriage and is probably one of the greatest sanctifying works in life, first marriage, second children. Psalms 127:3. “Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.” Heritage is defined as “something inherited, heirloom”, the word heirloom means “a family possession handed down from generation to generation.” Literally this verse is saying we are receiving what Someone(God) has planned as a possession for you through many generations as a reward by God. Wow, that puts a great responsibility on each of us as parents. This is the great sin of abortion, we are messing with Gods plan. We should thank God for every child He has put in our marriage and count it a privilege to give them back to Him for His use. Once we have accepted this responsibility, we must learn to give them direction. Deuteronomy 6:6-7 “ And these words, which I command you this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently(intensively, to pierce) unto thy children, and thou shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thy house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.” In other words ALL THE TIME THE WORD OF GOD SHOULD BE IN OUR INSTRUCTION! This cannot be left to the pastor, Sunday school teacher, youth leader, or especially public school. There is a curious void that is placed in every child that must be filled with the Word of God by the parents. It is easy to talk the most about what we love, hobbies, food, attire with those we love but have these replaced the greatest influence of our lives, the Word of God. What is being said is God should be interwoven in all aspects of our lives. Psalm 78 is a great example of why vs7 “That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep His commandments.” We should teach them they are responsible to pass this Godliness on as an heirloom. I’m sure we will give account to God on how we have handled our inheritance from Him!

(continued on marriage)In order to have your finances going in the right direction, you need to have a purpose. This is called a mission. Every home needs a reason to work for God. Some years back the corporate world and much of the church world decided everyone needed a “mission statement” and that’s ok for it gives that entity a focus point to work toward. It follows true with a family but it should be more than to get rich or have a great retirement savings. As Christians we should have the kingdom of God as our priority. We budget so that we can give a great offering in revival or a missionary is coming or the church is doing a remodel, building, etc. Let’s do this as working for the Lord! A support is put under something in order to make it strong and durable by working with a mission(some may say goal) you are giving an eternal destiny for your money. Most of us are blest beyond our needs, we have the ability to purchase gas for our vehicles, buy groceries when needed in other words supply our necessities but put Gods need on a back burner. What mission or goal have you set for this upcoming year with your family with the Lords work financially as a priority? Take on a project and work toward it, landscaping, mowing, utilities, cleaning and the supplies, lightbulbs, kleenexes, water bottles for the preacher, and many other projects. This doesn’t cover the many other you can do for the man of God, meals, clothing, fuel for his vehicle. DOES YOUR FAMILY HAVE A MISSION! I sometimes wonder if this could be one of the reasons many of our children loose out with God, because they had no goals or underlying motive to live for God. Get a mission for your family. You need to set a standard for your children. Acts “For in Him we live, and move, and have our being…”, Matthew 6:33 “But seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” While it’s still day, work for the Lord.
